ABOUT

MoMo is a labor of love cultivated by Mo McKenna and Andrew Cecka. Both Wisconsin-natives, they have lived in the Pacific Northwest since 2008.

Mo is the garden boss and floral designer. She was raised gardening and honed her skills by working at organic and permaculture farms in Costa Rica, North Carolina, Colorado,  Wisconsin, and Oregon. Mo earned a bachelors degree in Sustainable Agriculture from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina and a masters degree in Rural Sociology and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. For her graduate thesis, she worked with urban farmers in Mexico City. Mo has a passion for growing flowers and food, and for teaching others to garden. Since 2013, she has been growing and arranging flowers.

Andrew’s background in economics and finance make him an invaluable part of the MoMo team. He runs the business side of the small farm and contributes to farm maintenance and building projects. Andrew has a bachelors degree in Economics from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. He has worked extensively with small business and consumer lending at credit unions during his career.

In spring 2019, MoMo moved to a 5-acre farm in Southwest Washington and have become rooted in the community. Mo serves on the Board of Friends of Clark County, a nonprofit focused on promoting sustainable growth in Clark County. Andrew serves as the President of the Four Creeks Neighborhood Association, a non-profit, non-political, all volunteer organization committed to connecting, empowering, and improving our community.
